AND SERVICES
These ministries require specific skills and interests in a variety of areas
and offer the opportunity to work independently as well as with other members
of our parish family. Most of these ministries call for availability on an as-needed
basis.
Calligraphy

We are always looking for parishioners who are proficient at calligraphy to assist with sacramental certificates and other items. The time commitment varies according to the parish sacramental schedule and your availability. |

Baking

Several events take place at IHM throughout the year that rely on the baked
treats of our parishioners. Our parish festival and Welcome Weekend are just
a few of these events. |

Marketing/Advertising

People with a background in marketing/advertising/graphic design are needed to assist in the preparation of brochures, flyers, and advertising for various programs and events. Individuals will be contacted as needed.

Church
Cleaning Team Member

assist the custodial staff by being part of a team to help keep the assembly
space of our church building neat and hospitable to all. |

Computer

If you have knowledge of computers and networks, this is a great ministry for you. You will be called upon to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the parish computers.

Fall & Spring
Grounds Clean-up Day

Parishioners of all ages are invited to help out with our fall and spring
grounds clean-up day. Help is needed with raking leaves, planting flowers,
and landscape maintenance. This is a great way to get involved as a family! |

Carpentry/Electrical/Plumbing

Parish members with carpentry, electrical, or plumbing experience are always needed to assist with various projects as they arise. You will be contacted on an as-needed basis.

People are occasionally needed to make phone calls to other parishioners to
request pickup of various materials, schedule meetings, etc. You will be contacted
according to your availability. |

Office Assistance

Secretarial help is occasionally needed in the Parish Office to assist with various projects such as labeling or stuffing envelopes. You will be called upon on an as-needed basis according to your availability. This is a great opportunity to meet and get to know other member’s of IHM’s parish family.

Bulletin
Stuffers/Clerical

the weekly bulletin. No special skills are required. |

The HeartBeat

Our parish newsletter, The HeartBeat, is published quarterly. Creative writing skills are needed to provide interesting and newsworthy articles that will keep our parish family informed of current and upcoming events.

Exterior Ground Flowers

This is a time commitment of ½ hour to an hour every 2 weeks. Planting and weeding is needed in the Spring and in the Fall. Clean up on exterior flowerbeds around the church, parish office, and parking lot.

Money
Counters

A team of 5 or 6 are needed once a month on a Monday morning from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30
a.m. Three hours have to be allowed for this ministry. Envelopes from the
Saturday and Sunday collections are opened and sorted. The offertory collection
is counted and put in denomination packets. All checks are alphabetized and
stamped with IHM endorsement. Checks are copied and tallied twice. The stewardship
and renovation and any other items on the white slip attached to the Monthly
Stewardship Letter is also tallied twice. All monies are deposited at the
bank Monday mornings.

Photography

Anyone interested in taking pictures on a digital camera of events and special
celebrations of the IHM community especially Baptisms, First Communions, Confirmations,
Easter Vigil, Easter Sunday, Festival, RCIA events, etc. is needed. Photographs
to be used in our bulletin, parish website and HeartBeat.
