Fr. Karl's Monthly Newsletter
September 1, 2009
Dear Friends:
As I am writing it’s 42 degrees out there. Where did that
summer go? I hope it’s not gone and we’ll still have some great
warm September weather to ripen my tomatoes.
Fr. Robert Koti from Liberia was with us at all masses this past weekend and
preached about our sister parish and the missions in his home country. We have
included a donation envelope in this mailing in case you did not receive one
last weekend at mass. Envelopes may be returned in the Sunday collection baskets
or dropped off at the parish office.
Religious Education: Registration forms were
mailed in the first week of August for our GIFT PROGRAM. If you did not receive
a registration form you may pick one up in the Gathering Area of the church
or call Jan Grosschadl 414-453-0300. This program is open to parishioners of
all ages (children and adults). The theme of this year’s studies is “The
Bible”. Second
graders will have added instructions for Reconciliation and First Communion.
High School Juniors will prepare for Confirmation. Now is the time to see that
all are registered.
Thanks to all who have contributed to the “Faith In Our Future” campaign.
To date parishioners have pledged approximately $250,000 for the three year
program. If you still have your pledge form at home, please return it to the
parish office. Additional forms are available at the parish office and in the
church gathering area.
Fish Fries: Our first fall fish fry will
be on Friday, September 11. Other dates are Oct. 9, Nov. 6, and Dec. 4. Put
them on your calendar.
“Where do my stewardship contributions go?” - - - - Check out the
enclosed 2009-10 Budget and thanks for making these ministries possible.
