Fr. Karl's Monthly Newsletter
December 2, 2009

Dear Friends:
Here we are into December and the Advent season and no snow plowing yet. We
give thanks to the Lord! As we journey through the holy season of Advent, try
to take time each day, individually or as a household, to mine the riches of
Advent reflections found in the Little Blue Books passed out in church a ten
days ago.
Advent is a great time for spiritual growth especially by taking advantage
of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Communal
Reconciliation Celebrations in our local cluster are here at IHM Tuesday,
December 15, 10 a.m.; Mary Queen of Heaven, Wed. Dec. 16, 7 p.m.; St. Augustine,
Thur. Dec. 17, 7 p.m.; and St. Aloysius, Sat. Dec. 19, 10 a.m.
Don’t miss the Christmas Cookie and Craft
Fair December 12th and 13th. Come to the hall after 4 p.m. mass on Saturday or on Sunday from 7:30
a.m. until noon.
Many thanks to those who have already returned their 2010 Pledge
Cards for Parish Stewardship. Over 100 were returned in the first three days after the
mailing. Just keep them coming. Thank y’all.
“End of the year” contributions for
2009 tax credit must be received
by our parish office no later than December 31. Questions – call Dennis
453-5192.
Peace!
